Vertu is the world’s leading manufacturer of luxury mobile phones. We were asked by the Engine Group’s branding agency Dave (now Calling Brands) to rework the copy for Vertu’s first branding brochure. It was the beginning of a long and fruitful working relationship, during which we created a brand tone of voice and wrote subsequent brand brochures, display advertisements, in-store materials and accompanying books for special edition phones.
Our favourite piece of work was the accompanying book (pictured) for the Vertu Ascent Racetrack Legends Series, which told the story of the six racetracks that inspired the series: Silverstone, Monza, Le Mans, Indianapolis, Monaco and the Nürburgring. Though we say so ourselves, it was a particularly neat example of brand synergy, and a cracking read to boot.
